Postdoctoral Fellow, MARYAH HAIDERY, PharmD

July 6, 2015
Princeton, NJ

PharmaWrite, LLC, a full-service medical communication company, today announced the hiring of their 2015-2016 Postdoctoral Fellow, Maryah Haidery, PharmD.

Dr. Haidery will be the 2015-2016 Postdoctoral Fellow in Medical Communications at PharmaWrite and MedVal Scientific Information Services, LLC (joint appointment). Her responsibilities at MedVal/PharmaWrite will include competitive surveillance reporting, project management, publication planning, clinical manuscript and regulatory writing, slide deck development, gap analyses, and blogging for the pharmacy social media network, PharmQD. The academic teaching certification component of the PharmaWrite/ MedVal Fellowship gives Dr. Haidery the opportunity to serve as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, which will allow her to build her teaching skills by presenting lectures, leading discussion groups, precepting students, and developing and presenting CE programs for pharmacists.

Dr. Haidery graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry. She spent nearly 8 years as a researcher in preclinical drug discovery at Johnson & Johnson and Caliper Life Sciences before deciding to pursue her doctorate in pharmacy at Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia. While at Temple, she conducted research and published articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as completing clinical clerkships in both medical information (at Janssen Pharmaceuticals) and medical writing (at Medidata Managed Markets). From these experiences she gained insight on how best to analyze and present scientific data, work effectively on an interdisciplinary team, and tailor medical knowledge to suit a variety of audiences.

For Dr. Haidery, the Medical Communications Fellowship Program at PharmaWrite/ MedVal will provide an ideal opportunity to combine her interests in scientific and medical research with the writing and presentation skills she developed during her years at pharmacy school. As a Medical Communications Postdoctoral Fellow, her primary goal will be to advance her pharmaceutical knowledge and critical thinking skills so she can help provide the most accurate and appropriate medical information to healthcare professionals.

Dr. Haidery is currently an active member of APhA, NJPHA, ASHP, ISMPP, AMWA, and IPhO.
